(BayAreaNewsTalk.com) – A 69-year-old woman was knocked to the ground and seriously injured Monday in an attempted robbery and assault in San Francisco’s South Beach neighborhood.

The attack occurred around 8 p.m. in the first block of Lansing Street, a small alley off of First Street. Three men approached the woman and knocked her to the ground, police said.

One suspect attempted to take the victim’s property before all three fled in a vehicle. The woman was taken to a hospital with life-threatening injuries, police said.

No arrests had been reported in the case as of this morning.
