UPDATE: ‘Multiple People’ Killed In Morning Shooting At UPS Store In San Francisco
(BANT) – Officials at UPS say multiple people are dead in a shooting at one of the company’s facilities in San Francisco’s Potrero Hill neighborhood this morning.
UPS spokesman Steve Gaut said the company’s understanding is that the shooter is a UPS employee and that that person is among the dead.
Two people were reportedly killed in the shooting and several others were injured.
The shooting was reported around 9 a.m. at the packaging and sorting facility at 320 San Bruno Ave. At least four employees were shot and at least one was taken to a hospital, Gaut said.
San Francisco police advised people in other nearby buildings to shelter in place until further notice while they conduct a search of the building.
Gaut said about 850 employees work at the facility at 320 San Bruno Ave. and they have been evacuated while authorities investigate the shooting.
