(BANT) – For the second time in two weeks, the Rancho Cotate High School in Rohnert Park was the target of a bomb threat today, according to the Rohnert Park Department of Public Safety.

At 11:35 a.m., school administrators called public safety officials to say that they had received a bomb threat at the school, located at 5450 Snyder Lane.

Once officers arrived on campus, classrooms were evacuated and law enforcement teams with the public safety department, the Sonoma County Probation Department, the sheriff’s office and Sonoma State University searched the school.

Students were sent home during the search, which took about an hour, public safety officials said.

Public safety officials are not sure if today’s threat is related to the threat that was called in on the evening of Feb. 28.

Detectives are working with the FBI to investigate the incident.
