(BayAreaNewsTalk.com) – A female BART passenger told police that someone handed her a threatening note Saturday afternoon on a train in San Francisco, and now police need your help to identify the suspect.

At 4:51 p.m. the passenger told police that she was on a Dublin-bound train when someone handed her a note that said guns were pointed at her and she should give her wallet and phone to the person behind her without turning around.

Police said the passenger faked a medical emergency to attract attention to her and reported the incident to police.

The BART Police Department has reviewed surveillance video taken aboard the Dublin-bound train. Video from the train shows the suspect was seated behind the victim, who was sitting alone.

The suspect, who was also alone, is seen reaching over the victim’s shoulder which is when the suspect may have dropped the note.

The suspect, according to police, is described as a white female, possibly in her 30s with long strawberry blonde hair.

BART Police investigators are continuing to process video both from inside the train and Powell Street Station.

Anyone with information on the suspect should call BART PD at 510-464-7040.
