( – Petaluma police arrested two men Thursday afternoon who are suspected of committing three armed robberies since Aug. 11.

James David Baetz, 19, and Ricardo Daniel Ortiz-Martin, 18, both of Petaluma, were arrested around 12:45 p.m. at the C S Liquor Mart at 419 Stony Point Road in Santa Rosa, Petaluma police Lt. Tim Lyons said. Santa Rosa police and the Sonoma County Sheriff’s Office assisted in the arrest.

Police found a gun, cash, narcotics and other evidence in a vehicle occupied by Ortiz-Martin outside the market that linked both men to the armed robberies, Lyons said.

Baetz and Ortiz-Martin are suspected of robbing a person at gunpoint at a Well Fargo ATM in Petaluma on Aug. 11 and a 7-Eleven store at 5300 Old Redwood Highway in Petaluma Wednesday, Lyons said.

They also are suspected of robbing a 76 gas station at 5060 Redwood Drive in Rohnert Park early Thursday morning. The Rohnert Park Department of Public Service and Petaluma police investigated that armed robbery, Lyons said.

No one was hurt in the armed robberies.

Baetz and Ortiz-Martin were booked in the Sonoma County Jail for robbery, conspiracy, violating probation, possession of narcotics and possession of drug paraphernalia.
