(BayAreaNewsTalk.com) – The Sonoma County Sheriff’s Office’s marine unit recovered a stolen Dodge 1500 truck from Lake Sonoma Sunday, a sheriff’s sergeant said.

Deputies were on patrol Saturday at Yorty Creek on the north side of the lake near Cloverdale when park rangers at Lake Sonoma found the submerged white truck at the boat ramp in Cloverdale, Sgt. Spencer Crum said.

Deputies with diving gear and a tow truck with a winch pulled the truck out of the lake Sunday afternoon, Crum said. They checked the serial number and determined the truck was reported stolen in December from Cloverdale, Crum said.

The truck was not visible until now because of the high lake level, Crum said.
