(BANT) – Mountain View Police Monday arrested a very irate Palo Alto man who they say threw an extended tantrum that involved attacking customers at an auto parts story and later a police officer.

Around 2:50 pm, officers responded to O’Reilly Auto Parts on California Street and were told by employees and witnesses that David Oakley of Palo Alto had come into the store extremely angry, saying he had been given the wrong car part.

Witnesses say Oakley began yelling at employees and even hit an uninvolved customer with a carburetor cover. Oakley also tried to punch an employee before leaving the store, hitting another car in the parking lot on his way out

Officers were able to track Oakley to his home and get him to come outside. While doing so, he reportedly kicked an officer and tried to kick out the window of a patrol car.

Oakley was arrested for assault with a deadly weapon, hit and run and resisting arrest. He was booked into the Santa Clara County Jail.

You should always bring the old part with you to the store & compare it. If you leave the store with the wrong part it’s your own fault.
    Geez! Whata Grumpy Gus!
