A suspect allegedly burglarized a model home sales office last week in Brentwood, police said Friday.

Early Thursday morning officers responded to an alarm at the Pulte Home sales office on Bamboo Drive and found that someone had burglarized the office.

Officers said they found the Ty Leighton nearby. With him allegedly were burglary tools and property belonging to Pulte Homes.

Officers searched Leighton’s home where they allegedly found property reported stolen from other places in Brentwood.

Leighton was taken to the county jail on suspicion of burglary, possession of burglary tools, possession of stolen property and violating probation.

Police also allege they found a portable welder in Leighton’s home. Officers are trying to find its owner. Anyone who had a portable welder stolen should call Detective Head at (925) 809-7734.
