Sonoma Sheriff’s Office Confirms 7 Fire-Related Deaths in County
(BayAreaNewsTalk.com) – The Sonoma County Sheriff’s Office has confirmed seven fire-related deaths in the county.
The seven deaths, combined with the two fire-related deaths in Napa County, brings the total number of victims in the Bay Area to nine.
Tens of thousands of acres have been burned in multiple fires in Napa and Sonoma Counties, which began Sunday night and early this morning.
Gov. Jerry Brown today declared a state of emergency for Sonoma and Napa counties in addition Yuba, Lake, Butte, Mendocino, Nevada and Orange counties, because of multiple fires in the areas.
