SJ Earthquakes Player Critically Injured In Lake Tahoe Accident
(BANT) – A San Jose Earthquakes player is in critical condition after a swimming accident in Lake Tahoe, team officials said Tuesday.
According to team officials, Matheus Silva, 20, was swimming in Lake Tahoe and had to be pulled out of the water.
Silva received life-saving resuscitation measures at the scene and was taken to a nearby hospital. He was then airlifted to Renown Regional Medical Center in Reno where he was last reported in critical condition, team officials said.
Silva, a midfilder, is currently on loan from the Earthquakes’ United Soccer League affiliate team Reno 1868 FC.
