Battery on Transit Passenger/Probation Violation/Psychiatric Evaluation (Prohibition Order) – Lake Merritt Station

9/25/17, 0005 hours Witnesses reported that a male suspect had struck a female passenger without provocation, on a Daly City bound train. Other passengers detained the man until officers arrived. The man was found to be on probation for battery. He was arrested for battery on a transit passenger and probation violation. He was issued a prohibition order and was transported to John George Pavilion for psychiatric evaluation, with a criminal hold. The victim was not injured. 1709-1649 L18

Fare Evasion/Warrant Arrest/Possession of Narcotics – MacArthur Station

9/24/17, 1841 hours Officers detained a male (Benjamin SEWALL, 28, Oakland) for fare evasion. Record checks showed that Sewall had an outstanding $5,000 arrest warrant for possession of narcotics paraphernalia, held by SFPD. Sewall was arrested on his warrant. Incident to arrest, quantities of suspected methamphetamine and heroin were found on his person. Sewall was booked at Santa Rita Jail. 1709-1637 L18

Possession of Narcotics / Loitering for Drug Activities – Civic Center Station

9/24/17 16:40 Officers on patrol observed a suspect smoking a suspected narcotic substance. The suspect (Kalied Mousa, 20 years old, San Francisco) was arrested and cited for possession of narcotics and loitering for drug activities. 1709-1630 L11

Petty Theft – Civic Center Station

9/24/17 16:11 A patron who was purchasing a ticket briefly stepped away from the ticket machine at which time a suspect grabbed the $20 ticket and fled from the station. Officers identified a potential suspect based upon a photograph taken of the suspect. 1709-1628 L11

Auto Burglary – MacArthur Station

9/24/17 09:08 A 2006 Scion which was parked in space #63 from 9/23/17 at 21:00 to 9/24/17 at 09:08 was burglarized by an unknown suspect who broke a window and removed a backpack and sunglasses. 1709-1620 L11

Warrant Arrest – Hayward Station

9/24/17 12:30 An officer conducted a welfare check on a person at the station and discovered that the person was wanted on a felony, no-bail warrant for burglary. The suspect (James Reed, 56 years old, transient) was arrested and booked for the warrant. 1709-1616 L11

Petty Theft – San Bruno Station

9/24/17 12:30 A citizen reported the theft of their cell phone which was taken from next to them while they were asleep in the station’s bus zone. 1709-1615 L11

Auto Burglary – Dublin Pleasanton Station

9/24/17 08:00 An unknown suspect smashed the passenger window of a vehicle that was parked in space #1383 between 9/23/17 at 16:30 and 9/24/17 at 08:00. The loss from the vehicle was a cell phone. A second vehicle parked on the second level of the parking structure was also entered via window smash and the loss was a rain coat and Fastrak. There were two other vehicles during the same time period that had windows broken, but no loss was reported from those vehicles. 1709-1606, 1709-1623. L11

Warrant Arrest – Hayward Station

Armando Cruz (25 Oakland) was detained for fare evasion. The detention resulted in him being arrested for two warrants with a total bail of 27K.

Emergency Psychiatric Detention/Resisting Arrest/Warrant – Dublin/Pleasanton Station

9/22/17, 2200 hours The station agent reported that a male suspect was acting erratically in the station. When an officer contacted the man to check his welfare, he became combative and had to be subdued with a Taser. The man was found to have an outstanding $25,000 arrest warrant for resisting arrest, held by the Alameda County Sheriff’s Office. The man was transported to the hospital for medical clearance, and then to John George Pavilion for psychiatric evaluation, with a criminal hold. There were no injuries. 1709-1554 L18

Auto Burglary – El Cerrito del Norte Station

9/22/17, 2138 hours A patron reported that their 2006 BMW sedan was burglarized while parked on the 4th floor of the garage, between 0800-2130 hours. An unknown suspect smashed both side windows to gain entry and stole a pair of sunglasses. 1709-1552 L18

Auto Theft – Fremont Station

9/22/17, 2016 hours A patron reported that their silver 1998 Honda Civic was stolen between 0815-2015 hours. 1709-1549 L18

Auto Burglary – Ashby Station

9/22/17, 1753 hours A patron reported that their silver 2017 Lexus NX200 was burglarized between 0735-1745 hours. An unknown suspect smashed the passenger window to gain entry and stole sunglasses. 1709-1541 L18

Bike Theft – San Leandro Station

9/21/17, 2221 hours A victim reported the theft of their Thruster “Fixie” bicycle from the San Leandro Station. The bicycle was stolen on 9/21/17 between 1300 and 2215 hours. The bicycle was secured with a cable lock. 1709-1445 L24

Narcotics Violation/Warrant Arrest – Powell Street Station

9/21/17, 1926 hours Officers located a male (Lance Laudenslager, 29 years, San Francisco) preparing to inject narcotics inside the Powell Street Station. Laudenslager was detained and a records check showed a 75K arrest warrant held by San Francisco. Laudenslager was booked on the warrant and the narcotics violation. 1709-1436 L22

Fare Evasion/Warrant Arrest – Coliseum BART Station

9/22/17 at 0802 hours Officers detained a male (Alphonso Thrower, 45 years old, Oakland) for fare evasion. A records check revealed that Thrower had an outstanding $40,000 larceny warrant. Thrower was issued a citation for fare evasion, transported to Santa Rita County Jail and booked on the warrant. 1709-1458 L19

Fare Evasion/Warrant Arrest/Probation Violation- South Hayward Station

09/22/2017 at 0931 hours Officers detained a male (Malik Johnson, 20 years old, Hayward) for fare evasion. A records check revealed that Johnson had an outstanding felony robbery warrant and was on active probation. Johnson was issued a citation for fare evasion. He was transported and booked into Santa Rita County Jail for the outstanding warrant and probation violation. 1709-1476 L19
