(BANT) – A homeless man is under arrest in Santa Rosa after he police say he stole another homeless man’s car.

At around 11 a.m. Wednesday, officers arrived to the 600 block of Morgan Street on a report of a possible carjacking.

The 28-year-old victim told them he was standing near his car when a man approached and threatened him with a large knife.

The victim said the suspect pointed the knife at him and told him to get away from the vehicle. The victim then ran away.

Police say the suspect stole the car, drove it down the street, and stole some of the victim’s property.

Officers found the suspect near the victim’s car on 6th Street and arrested him. He was identified as 34-year-old Henok Tewolde of Santa Rosa.

Officers located the victim’s property, as well as three large knives near Tewolde. He was booked into the Sonoma County Jail.

    I cried because I had no shoes, then I met a man who had no feet….
    and he gave me his old shoes since he no longer needed them!
    Things just work out that way sometimes… I think there’s a lesson to be learned here….but I have no idea what it is.

    I might be wrong but if you live out of your car, and your car is your home, are you homeless?
