American Canyon police are looking for a man who robbed a bank Wednesday evening.

The suspect entered the U.S. Bank at 103 American Canyon Road around 6:55 p.m. and gave a note demanding money to a teller, police Chief Tracey Stuart said.

In the note, the robber said he had a gun and two pipe bombs. The robber left with cash and there were no injuries reported, Stuart said.

The suspect is a slender black male with short or shaved hair who is between 6 feet and 6 feet 4 inches tall and weighs 180-190 pounds. He was wearing black clothing with a red flannel shirt, dark glasses and a black hat, Stuart said.

Police have released a surveillance photo of the suspect. Anyone with information about the case is asked to call the Napa County Sheriff’s Office at (707) 253-4591 or text NVCS and a message to 274637 (CRIMES).
