(BANT) – California Highway Patrol officials say they found a motorcycle in Pacifica Sunday that they believe was used in a high-speed highway chase the day before in Oakland.

The pursuit began at about 11 a.m. on Saturday when an officer saw the Ducati 998 driving east on Interstate 80 near the toll plaza at about 100 mph.

The officers tried to stop the motorcycle, but the rider refused to stop. The rider then went onto eastbound Interstate 980 and eventually got off at 27th Street.

The CHP says the rider continued to drive recklessly on city streets so the officer decided to terminate the pursuit.

After getting a warrant, officers impounded the motorcycle for 30 days. It was not immediately clear if the rider would be facing arrest.
