Oakley Man Killed in Early Morning House Fire
(BayAreaNewsTalk.com) – A residential structure fire in a vacant home killed a man early
this morning in Oakley, according to police.
The fire was reported around 2:30 a.m. in the 400 block of Star
Street, Sgt. Robert Roberts said.
The house appeared to be occupied by two homeless individuals. A
man thought to be roughly 50 years old was transported to a hospital and
“Sadly, it was really the first cold night of the year,” Roberts
said. “From what I see right now it appears to be a horrible accident.”
The fatal fire remains under investigation, however.
The name of the decedent was not immediately available.
