A Suisun City man was convicted Monday of sexual offenses against two girls under 10 years old, according to the Solano County District Attorney’s Office.

A Solano County Superior Court jury convicted Richard Anthony Evans, 46, of three felony counts of sexual assault against the victims between November 2015 and February 2016, prosecutors said.

The offenses happened while Evans was watching the girls after school. Suisun City police were contacted after one of the girls told her mother about the assaults, prosecutors said.

Evans admitted committing the assaults during an interview with police, and one of the girls testified at his trial, according to the district attorney’s office.

Evans faces 55 years to life in prison when he is sentenced May 15.
