(BANT) – Santa Rosa CHP and Sonoma County Sheriff’s officials continue to search for a person who they say killed two mini horses after crashing into a barn in Penngrove early Saturday morning.

Investigators say it happened around 2:00am in the 10100 block of Minnesota Ave. They believe the suspect was driving recklessly and lost control of the vehicle, slamming into a barn where the owner kept mini horses. Two of the horses were killed instantly.

Officials say the driver fled they scene in what they believe was a Honda, which would now have major damage.

Anyone with information is asked to get in touch with Santa Rosa CHP or Deputy Fomasi at 565-2121.
