(BayAreaNewsTalk.com) – A fire this morning at a homeless encampment in West Oakland has been extinguished, fire officials said.

The fire was reported at 9:41 a.m. at West Grand Avenue and Martin Luther King Jr. Way near Interstate Highway 980.

The fire started following some cooking and is the second fire at a homeless encampment in Oakland in as many days. On Sunday, a person was arrested for arson in an early morning fire at Fifth and Market streets.
