(BANT) – Benicia police briefly locked down Benicia High School as a
precaution in response to a threat this morning, a police dispatcher said.

The lockdown began at 9:48 a.m. and was lifted at 10:55 a.m.,
Benicia Unified School District superintendent Charles Young said.

As a precaution, a nearby middle school and elementary school also
were briefly locked down, Young said.

Police are following up on information regarding the threat, Young
said.

The high school is located at 1101 Military W. in Benicia.
