Attempted Robbery – Embarcadero Station

8/5/17, 2048 hours Witnesses reported that a female juvenile attempted to rob a female patron while on the Daly City bound train. The suspect was part of a group of about 10 juveniles. The suspect was described as a black female, wearing a pink shirt and denim shorts. The suspect pepper sprayed the victim and a male companion, before fleeing from the station. Responding officers were unable to locate the suspects in the area. The victims were not injured. 1708-0420 L18

Domestic Violence (Prohibition Order) – Walnut Creek Station

8/5/17, 1909 hours Witnesses reported that a male and female were involved in a physical fight on the Pittsburg bound train. The train was held at Walnut Creek while officers responded. Officers detained both parties on the concourse, and ultimately determined that the female was the primary aggressor. She was arrested for domestic violence and was booked at the Martinez Detention Facility. The train was delayed about 11 minutes. 1708-0414 L18

Auto Burglary – San Leandro Station

8/5/17, 1908 hours A witness reported that a male suspect was attempting to break into cars in the lot. Officers detained the man and ultimately determined that he had permission to enter the vehicle. Record checks showed that the man had two outstanding no-bail arrest warrants for narcotics violations, held by Stockton PD and the San Joaquin County Sheriff’s Office. The man was arrested on his warrants and was booked at Santa Rita Jail. 1708-0413 L18

Auto Theft – Fruitvale Station

8/5/17, 1717 hours A patron reported that their red 1997 Honda CRV was stolen from the 3rd level of the parking structure, between 0610-1715 hours. 1708-0406 L18

Auto Theft – El Cerrito Del Norte Station

8/5/17 1553 hours A victim reported that their vehicle, a 2015 Dodge Charger, was stolen from the station, sometime between 8/4/17 at 0750 hours to today at 1630 hours. 1708-0397 L21

Warrant Service – Daly City Station

An officer contacted a subject for fare evasion. A wants check revealed that the subject (Corleto, Eugenio 23 years old) had a felony no bail warrant for probation violation issued by the San Mateo County Sheriff’s Office. The subject was also in possession of suspected narcotics. The subject was arrested and booked into the Redwood City Jail for the aforementioned charges. 17087-0399 L21

Trespassing/Warrant Arrest – Hayward

8/5/17 1356 hours Dispatch was advised of a subject who was on the BART track way south of the Hayward Station (near Orchard Avenue). The suspect boarded a Richmond train after being spoken to by a train operator. Officers detained the subject at the Hayward Station and determined he was a danger to himself. A wants check revealed that the subject (Garcia, Raymond, 31, Fairfield) had a no bail burglary warrant issued out from San Diego County; which was extraditable. The subject was placed under a psychiatric detention with a criminal hold for the warrant. TSOC was advised. 1608-0395 L21

Resisting Arrest/Probation Violation

8/5/17 1315 hours An officer was at the station when he observed a subject (Bertolini, Anthony 31, Concord) who appeared was going to fare evade to enter the station. The subject, who was acting suspiciously, was later reportedly on the platform acting erratic. The officer contacted the subject who resisted the detention. The subject was placed in handcuffs with the assistance of a responding sergeant. The subject is to be booked at the Martinez Detention Facility for resisting arrest, probation violation, and is to be issued a citation for fare evasion. 1708-0393 L21

Violation of Probation – El Cerrito Plaza Station

8/5/17 1205 Hours An officer detained a male subject for fare evasion. A wants check revealed that the subject (Hendrix, James, 62 years old, Oakland) was on probation and that a term of the probation was to stay away from all BART Stations. The subject was arrested and booked into the Martinez Detention Facility for probation violation. 1708-0385 L21
