(BANT) – Police in Novato say three people wearing surgical masks stole jewelry Sunday morning from a wholesale warehouse store.

At 10:11 a.m., officers responded to the Costco Wholesale store at 300 Vintage Way where three suspects had used a hammer to break glass display cases and steal jewelry.

The suspects ran from the store to a vehicle that was gone before police got there. Officers said no one was injured and the suspects did not show any weapons.

Officers did not find the suspect’s get-away vehicle, which was described as a dark-colored, 4-door sedan with paper dealer plates.

About a month ago, four people stole jewelry in a similar fashion from a Costco in Foster City.

Police are asking for the public’s help in finding the vehicle and suspects in the Novato burglary. Anyone with any information is asked to call Novato police at (415) 897-4361.
